Overview

Microsoft’s Global Communications team is focused on positioning Microsoft as the most trusted and innovative partner in every market we serve. As a key member of the Global Media Strategy & Campaigns Communications Team, which is part Global Communications, this person will play a critical role in helping to develop and scale Microsoft’s most important news and campaigns to top publications and creators around the globe.

The ideal candidate has experience landing stories and campaigns across platforms, brings effective project management skills, is comfortable navigating a matrixed environment, brings a collaborative and curious mindset and strong attention to detail. The person in this role will help advise and orchestrate global influencer strategy working in close partnership with communications leads at HQ and in the markets to advance our priority perceptions and reach key audiences.

Responsibilities

Scale Microsoft priorities globally with ‘surround sound’ approach:

Understand Microsoft business priorities, news and key commercial audiences for news beats; apply market insights to advise and orchestrate media strategy.Apply a “surround sound” strategy to meet audiences on the platforms, news outlets and channels that they engage in, informed by data and market insights.Use AI and reporting tools to inform strategy and measure results.Develop curated campaigns and experiences for impact:

Help Microsoft’s commercial and consumer priorities land with relevance in market by creating durable assets (messaging, demo scripts, spokesperson training materials, etc.) that markets can easily adopt and localize.Help curate campus visits and experiences to land agenda-setting stories and creator content.Host media and creators representing Microsoft values and views.Team collaborator with excellent stakeholder and executive engagement:

Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture, effectively working across time zones.Help land successful international media stories and creator engagement with effective prep and counsel for HQ spokespeople.Other:

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or related field AND 5+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.Experience working internationally and/or as part of a global team.4+ years of experience in public relations, multi-media storytelling.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic.#commsgroup

Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
