Description
At team Xbox, we’re on a mission to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet. We’re looking for a Communications Manager, Xbox to lead communications for the Minecraft games portfolio – everything from our base game and marketplace to new games and trust and safety. In this role, you will craft global plans that influence players through impactful storytelling across earned and owned channels.We are looking for someone with experience successfully launching games and/or supporting live service games. You will have a proven track record for working across multiple workstreams simultaneously, so the ability to support different stakeholders and drive alignment will be key. Having relationships with gaming, technology, and consumer press as well as gaming content creators/influencers will be valuable.

Lead storytelling for the Minecraft games ecosystem.Drive communications strategy and execution for announcing, launching, and providing post-launch support for Minecraft games and updates.Provide strategic counsel and guidance to executives, marketing, developers, and other cross-functional teams to shape strategy, drive alignment around priorities, and manage issues.Help manage agency of record as integral members of our extended team.Help protect the Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft brands by identifying and mitigating reputation risk.Embody our Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 2+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Program Management, Project Management or related experience.OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience within the gaming industry.1+ year(s) experience supporting executives.1+ year(s) experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Program Management, Project Management or related experience.OR equivalent experience.Experience working with gaming content creators/influencers. Experience supporting live service games and landing stories that break through.
Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
