Join our Global Channel Partner Sales Tech Team as a Partner Solution Architect and play a pivotal role in guiding our most significant partners in Microsoft’s growth business: the Small and Medium Enterprises and Channels (SME&C) organization.With a vision to "Build and sell Microsoft AI, Cloud applications, services, and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more, the Global Channel Partner Sales organization is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with partners through innovative solutions–at scale. The Global Channel Partner Sales team delivers SME&C (Small, Medium Enterprises and Channel) growth and market share across AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms, and Security within Global Partner Solutions by capturing total addressable market (TAM) and accelerating cloud growth at scale through our top Channel Sales partners. Our approach is grounded in Cloud Solution Provider acceleration, co-sell precision, and performance accountability—executed consistently across all solution areas and every stage of the MCEM (Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology) Win Formula. We are committed to delivering on our segment and revenue accountabilities by aligning execution with measurable impact, fostering partner transformation, and enabling scalable, outcome-driven growth.
Our mission on the Global Channel Partner Sales Tech Team is to pioneer partner innovation with Microsoft to build profitable offerings that exponentially grow global revenue at scale. We champion the evolution of our global Partner channel ecosystem by guiding Partners toward modern, services-led business models with a specific emphasis on enabling Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Our team works closely with our Partners to define and evangelize the AI & Agentic strategy across diverse Partner business models, ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s AI vision.
As a Cloud Solution Architecture, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Technical priorities. You will be helping our Partners to design and implement innovative scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet market needs. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through the effective use of cloud technologies. You will work closely with Partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and guide them through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and help them transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring that their solutions are optimized for performance, security and cost-efficiency.

As a Cloud Solution Architecture, you will serve as the deep technical subject matter expert (SME) to partners’ technical force and own the partner’s technical strategy plan for their Cloud Solution Area (CSA). Within your responsibilities are:
Guide Solution Development & Activation - You’ll lead the development and activation of new or enhanced partner offerings that align with Microsoft Cloud priorities. Your focus will be on ensuring these solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and tailored to meet evolving customer needs.Empower Innovation - You’ll run technical innovation workshops, tech briefings, and envisioning sessions to build technical intensity across partner teams. By collaborating with engineering and product teams, you’ll help accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies and shape partner offerings that align with both business goals and technical requirements.Strategic Sales Enablement - You’ll play a key role in activating transformational deals by providing architectural guidance, resolving technical blockers, and enhancing solution design. Your work will directly contribute to workload consumption and revenue impact.Champion Technical Excellence - You’ll guide partners through architecture design sessions, proof-of-concepts, and MVP builds. You’ll ensure that solutions follow Microsoft’s Cloud and AI best practices and are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.Serve as the strategic voice of channel Partners with Engineering and Business Groups (BGs), influencing road-maps, feedback loops, and product direction.Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Management - You’ll build long-term engagements with strategic partners, influencing their adoption of Microsoft technologies. You’ll develop deep technical relationships with CXOs and foster executive alignment to support joint success.Partner Enablement & Business Acumen - You’ll coach broader Partner technical teams to ensure pre-sales, deployment, and consumption are embedded in solution development. Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).Preferred Qualifications
4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).4+ years experience working on technical projects.Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
