We are looking to hire a hands-on Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to join our diverse, talented, high performance, and innovative team, focused on driving rapid cloud solutions on Azure via the Cloud Accelerate Factory. The Cloud Accelerate Factory is best suited for individuals that are highly technical, solution focused and have a passion for Project Management. The Cloud Accelerate Factory provides opportunity to drive feedback into Microsoft’s core product teams to help improve our platform.
CSAs are senior individual contributors who operate globally and engage directly with customers. It is a hands-on technical and governance role spanning across design, build, and production. Candidates are expected to comfortably switch from a whiteboard to the keyboard. Responsibilities
A Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) within the Cloud & AI Platforms Global Customer Success team focused on helping customer jumpstart Azure projects with zero-cost deployment assistance by leveraging the Cloud Accelerate Factory, also known as the Factory.
Customer-Centric Approach:
• End-to-end ownership of Factory engagements to help customers jumpstart their Azure projects with no-cost deployment assistance.
• Provide Factory delivery oversight which includes being hands-on with delivery based on business requirements.
• Deliver proactive technical program management for Factory engagements by overseeing project execution and mitigating delivery risks, ensuring seamless coordination and successful outcomes for customers.
Business Impact:
• Deliver Customer success on the Microsoft Cloud & AI Platforms with a special focus on driving velocity and enabling timely execution of high-value Factory delivery projects for Japan-based customers.
• Accountable for working with internal Microsoft stakeholders in the Japan Specialist Team Unit (STU) and Customer Success Unit (CSU) to deliver customer outcomes through Factory delivery projects.
• Orchestrate effective execution of Partner + Factory delivery to scale reach and impact across all customer segments.
• Drive the acceleration and removal of delivery blockers for Factory projects within Japan as the primary territory of responsibility. Additionally, as part of the Global Customer Success team, the role will remain flexible to support other regions and countries when required.
Technical Leadership:
• Maintain deep technical hands-on delivery expertise from Azure infrastructure, data and AI to refactor and re-platform customer’s application stack.
• Demonstrate technical depth in delivery by employing best practices and repeated IP to accelerate Factory delivery execution.
• Extract learning, actionable insights from Factory delivery execution by closing the loop with Technical Success colleagues to improve IP, offerings and process flows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Technology Management.
• 5+ years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or Business Applications consulting OR equivalent experience.
• Japanese full working proficiency. Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 (Advanced level) is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills in Japanese as well as English.
• You must be legally authorized to work in Japan to be eligible for this role.
• Passion for technology and customer obsession.
• Displays strong technical program management, stakeholder and relationship management across senior leaders, partners, and customers.
• Enthusiasm towards leading technologies and motivation to learn and grow.
