Position Description:

At Microsoft’s Operations Service Center we have a passion for customers, partners and technology.  As a member of the Cloud Services Operations team, you will coordinate and manage scale cloud processes across multiple Go-To-Market motions.  The team sits within Microsoft Business Operations (MBO) and is responsible for successful and compliant processing of transactions that enable and support Microsoft Azure customers. You will be joining a fast-paced team that focuses on results, works together to solve problems, and is committed to developing people.



The Cloud Operations Program Manager role interfaces with Engineering, Launch, Sales, Finance, and various Support organizations to operationalize cloud products, workloads, and programs across both modern and legacy sales motions. Responsibilities include process incubation, transaction management, and escalation support. Additionally, the role is accountable for driving operational excellence of Cloud Transactions such as Conditional ACO (Azure Credit Offer), Tiered ACD (Azure Commitment Discount), and other Custom MACC (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment) motions.

Execute specific operational functions for Cloud Operations, including specific Azure offerings such as, Time and Conditional based Credit Offer (ACO), Tiered Azure Consumption Discount (ACD), and other custom Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) motions, and Service Support credits. Support critical pre- & post-sales cloud issues and escalations to resolution across stakeholders Build and scale processes and capabilities to enable the inevitable growth in volume of Cloud Customers Document and share learnings relating to cloud operations encompassing systems, tools, stakeholders, and processes Understand the controls that drive compliance and provide direction to enable new commerce motions Drive continuous process improvements via analysis and identification of opportunities focused on driving global impact Leverage reporting and analytics to manage end-to-end transactional functionsEmbody our culture and values

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.3+ years Experience working and supporting Volume Licensing Contracts, Systems, and Processes

OR Azure usage data

OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 3+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 5+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.Extensive experience in working with outsourced vendors, managing outsourced operations, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Proven track record in driving continuous improvement projects through a proven Change Management methodology

Proven negotiation and communication skills, and proven track record in driving significant impact through contract negotiationIn-depth knowledge of outsourcing and vendor management practicesExperience drafting contract terms, including payment terms, SLAs, penalties, and technology governanceProven ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, bring others along the journeyFluent communicator and possess a learn it all mindsetDemonstrates curiosity to learn about and support transactional workloads Continuous Process Improvement MindsetTrack record of successful collaboration with a variety of Business Stakeholders & Partners Adept in Process Design, Change Management and Execution Experience in leveraging and optimizing queries for Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL and KQL

Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
