Our Health & Life Sciences Solutions organization is an interdisciplinary team of product managers, designers, engineers, and medical professionals who are designing, developing and deploying next-generation, AI-infused healthcare solutions for healthcare organizations. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be driven by a deep passion for both healthcare and AI, and a desire to make a meaningful global impact by applying their clinical expertise to support the development of AI-led healthcare solutions across Diagnostic imaging and other healthcare verticals to drive positive outcomes.

As a Clinical Experience Manager - Radiologist, you will be an integral member of a team within HLS Solutions that is working to reimagine the Radiologist experience, while helping enrich their workflows with innovative, healthcare-oriented AI-led solutions. In addition, this role will support the development of AI solutions across other healthcare domains.

You’ll play an integral role in driving customer obsession within the product organization, working closely with customers to understand what is most critical for them and translating clinical insights into actionable, business-ready input that helps propel our Diagnostics solutions forward for the radiologist and broader clinical community.

As a senior clinical leader, you will facilitate alignment across our clinical expertise channels, ensuring diverse clinical viewpoints are surfaced, evaluated, and synthesized into well-reasoned, consensus-driven clinical recommendations that support product direction and business objectives. You will also guide execution and delivery of key initiatives across our clinical SMEs and advisors, prioritizing highest-impact opportunities.

As a clinical subject matter expert on the Diagnostics product team, you’ll strive to ensure clinical excellence in every aspect of product design and delivery. Strong business communication and executive presence are essential. You will translate complex clinical insights into clear, concise, and compelling recommendations for senior leaders and cross-functional partners, and influence without authority to help shape product direction and health outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

We are looking for passionate people with a healthy mix of both Radiology / Imaging clinical expertise as well as proven program management experience, who can serve as strategic clinical experts driving AI product excellence by aligning cross-functional teams, shaping model development, and translating customer insights into impactful diagnostics solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting AI Model Development & Evaluation - Collaborate with Research to support AI model prompt development through guidelines, requirements, and benchmark definition; test and improve model outputs; help monitor model drift; provide clinical annotation and feedback to enhance model quality.Customer Feedback, Engagement & Product Adoption - Maintain deep engagement with end users to gather, synthesize, and communicate actionable clinical and product insights that inform product decisions and drive adoption, especially during Preview programs; represent HLS Diagnostics at industry events to both gather feedback and evangelize our portfolio.Internal Cross-Functional Collaboration & Clinical Leadership - Serve as a thought partner and clinical expert across our organization; facilitate alignment across clinical experience managers and clinical advisors by soliciting input, reconciling diverse expert perspectives, and driving consensus‑based clinical guidance that reflects collective expertise.Program Leadership – Coordinate work direction and priorities across the Clinical SME team, partnering with product and business leaders to balance competing demands and ensure focus on the highest-impact clinical initiatives.Regulatory Awareness and Compliance - Stay abreast of evolving industry regulations and compliance considerations and drive these requirements into our product development considerations.Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

BC/BE Radiologist or equivalent, and/or 6+ years of experience as a medical professional in a radiology reporting setting.Proficient and current knowledge of health documentation standards and Radiology reporting workflows OR equivalent experience.Multiple years experience in a radiology reporting setting, including image interpretation and report authorship OR equivalent experience.Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to succinctly share information and adapt messaging based on audience.Healthcare AI or related technology experience, with a practiced knowledge of AI and prompt engineering with LLMs.Proven program management skills, managing risks and driving positive business outcomes in cross-functional teams.Driven to innovate new solutions, and comfortable with the notion of failing fast and pivoting when needed, with the ability to quickly reflect and action on feedback.Comfortable working with distributed teams.Experience in sourcing, evaluating, and applying medical guidelines to medical AI development.Supplemental education or equivalent experience in healthcare AI or healthcare technology / IT.Aligned to building a collaborative product culture where product, engineering, customer success, and design support, listen to, and respectfully challenge each other to get to the final product.

Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
