Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is accountable for the strategy and execution of our business through Microsoft’s partner ecosystem. We are proud to lead the largest partner ecosystem in the industry with more than 500k partners that operate in every customer segment, solution area, industry and geographic area. This sales organization directly leads the execution of the Channel Strategy within our Small, Medium Enterprises & Channel (SME&C) organization and guides the strategy of our overall partner ecosystem through the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program (MAICPP), which includes our co-sell and incentives strategies.The Chief of Staff opportunity in Global Partner Solutions (GPS) will allow you to partner closely with the GPS Leadership Team influencing the growth and evolution of this critical business. In this role you will be at the core of our partner strategy and efforts collaborating with senior executives across Microsoft and in MCAPS to engage with our partners and customers through a single voice.

Translate the Corporate Vice President (CVP) vision through strategic plans and programs activated throughout the fiscal year Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to the Leader and organization leadership team, providing feedback, insights, and recommendations to optimize business performance and team effectiveness Lead the design, alignment and execution of the overall Leader Rhythm of the Business (ROB), including people and culture initiatives, and business performance ROB Strengthen Leadership Team connections – with a commitment to operational excellence driving simplification and leverage of existent rhythms in place. Leverage ROBs with extended Business partners and organizations (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), Marketing, HR, Finance, Engineering) ensuring they are integrated into the Leader and organization rhythm Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects and programs that support the growth and transformation of the business with clear alignment to MCAPS, Industry & Partner Sales (IPS) and SME&C core process rhythms and efforts. Oversee the planning and management of the organization budget, headcount, and resources, ensuring compliance, governance, and risk mitigation as well growth/ reinvestment opportunities. Spearhead the Leader’s Executive Office embodying culture of trust, collaboration, and inclusion within organization and across MCAPS, SME&C and extended business partners Drive engagement of core internal cultural campaigns and efforts that connect by supporting initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), management excellence, career development, and giving Support organization culture plan creation, that permeates leadership team, managers communities’ development as well as define Leader connections (Town Hall, AMA, Comms)
Business Operations
Leverages knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets and prioritization strategies to maximize impact Works in partnership with Finance to approve the budgets and support reinvestment Anticipates business challenges based on forecasts and develops plans; contributes knowledge to strategic investment decisions. Ensures that the leader is aligned on the headcount strategy and participates in or leads the organizational design for headcount allocation. Establish connections and partnerships with critical extended organizations Chief of Staff (CoS): MCAPS, Marketing, IPS, Compliance, SME&C, Human Resources (HR), MCAPS to ensure continuous integration and alignment in place Partnership and collaboration on organizational design conversations driving successful implementation of organizational plans and strategies (e.g., translates high-level strategic plans into concrete execution). Leverages key partnerships to drive the agenda for the leadership team and ensures follow up. Builds and cultivates relationships with leaders and executives. Acts as leader’s proxy. Creates alignment within partnerships by providing an objective point of view, ensuring voices are heard, synthesizing ideas, and driving action plans. Leverages knowledge of the leader's goals and business approach to ensure business activities are aligned with the leader's objectives. Serves in the absence of the leader as needed to share their goals, objectives, and vision. Supports the leader and serves as a thought leader in multiple areas (e.g., setting key goals, priorities, and definitions; team culture and health; communications; budget/finance; industry/specific business knowledge). Design and manage the Chief of Staff office ensuring overall orchestration, operations and management of the organization in regards to Leader Internal/ External engagements, Customer Partner Engagement framework, Rhythm of the Business and Leadership engagement Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experienceExperience supporting executive-level strategic planning, project management, and operational leadership within a complex sales organization 3+ years People Management experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
5 + years people management experience. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in alignment with organizational goals. Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. Ability to work on multi-cultural environment and to drive initiatives and narratives that enhance innovation Understanding of the Microsoft organization, business models and Core/region/geos engagement. Experience in change management and navigating organization transformation.
Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
