The Microsoft Game Content and Studios organization empowers the world-class studios across Bethesda, ZeniMax, and Casual Games to do their best work creating incredible worlds their players love. This group of studios includes Arkane Lyon, Bethesda Game Studios, Microsoft Casual Games, id Software, Machine Games, and ZeniMax Online Studios.    

The Chief of Staff will be a member of the Bethesda, ZeniMax, and Casual Games Leadership team directly supporting the Head of Bethesda, ZeniMax, and Casual Games Studios. This individual is responsible for organization-wide effectiveness including strategic planning and management, organizational priorities, rhythm of business, internal/external communications, meetings and events, budgets, and strategic programs and initiatives to ensure leadership and organization alignment. This individual will be a trusted partner to the Head of Bethesda, ZeniMax, and Casual Games Studios, their leadership team, and key stakeholders across Microsoft Gaming and ZeniMax.

Drive strategic planning and operational execution  

Responsible for organization-wide effectiveness including strategic planning and management, organizational priorities, rhythm of business, internal/external communications, meetings and events, budgets, and strategic programs and initiatives to ensure leadership and organization alignmentPartner with organizational leadership to unite teams across shared objectives enabling the success of the gaming strategyManage the internal communications and business operations function, including oversight of a communications lead responsible for the creation and implementation of an internal communications strategy to ensure effective information dissemination.

Support the Head of Bethesda, ZeniMax, and Casual Games Studios 

Extend the leader’s reach while developing relationships with key staff and partners, communicate the leader’s strategy, provide clarity to stakeholders, and identify gaps/opportunities.    Maximize the use and effectiveness of the leader’s time to drive progress towards business priorities.    Partner as a thought leader and discussion partner for important and strategic decisions.  Drive cross-team projects to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs. Lead project/program management to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple disciplines and business organizations. Organizational Health  

Align with the People strategy for the organization and understand the current organizational culture, as well as lead culture initiatives: Activate Gaming D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) plan through programs that develop diverse perspectives, support inclusive hiring approaches, and provide a safe place where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvementOR equivalent experience.6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.4+ years of experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives, manage organizational priorities, and drive rhythm of business activities. 

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 15+ years experience in program management , process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.8+ years people management experience.Experience leading through change, managing ambiguity, and adapting strategies to evolving business needs.Experience building relationships across legal, finance, product, and HR (Human Resources) teams to ensure holistic execution of strategic programsWritten and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting internal communications strategies and executive-level messaging.

Business Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
