Description

Overview

Reimagining how AI creates durable business value and how enterprises sustain competitive advantage in an increasingly volatile landscape is a top priority for today’s executive leadership. The Customer Engagement and Co-Innovation team operates at this frontier, partnering with a shortlist of strategic customers to surface consequential opportunities, shape future-state visions, and co-create innovations with the potential to redefine industries.

For more than seven years, CEO Co-Innovation has served as a differentiated engagement model for driving deep alignment with senior leadership teams. These engagements are intentionally bespoke: they are not driven by fixed methodologies, pre-defined architectures, or scripted outcomes. Instead, they are designed to help executives confront complex, often ambiguous challenges, articulate their true business ambitions, and jointly design technology-enabled paths forward that are grounded in real strategic need.

The CEO Co-Innovation Engagement Director leads these high-stakes engagements end to end. This role is equal parts executive advisor, business strategist, technologist, and builder. The Engagement Director works directly with customer C-suite and senior leadership teams, while also navigating across Microsoft engineering, industry, product, and go-to-market organizations to shape cohesive, actionable outcomes.

Success in this role requires comfort operating without a playbook. Engagements evolve in real time, insights emerge through dialogue rather than templates, and impact depends on the ability to synthesize strategy, technology, and storytelling into clear direction. This is a role for seasoned consultants who thrive in ambiguity, bring executive presence, and take ownership for creating clarity, momentum, and results often where none previously existed.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Builder mindset with comfort in ambiguity that thrives in unstructured, evolving environments; operates with a startup mentality by creating clarity where none exists, iterating in real time, and driving outcomes without reliance on fixed scripts, playbooks, or predefined paths.

Organizational navigator and executive storyteller adept at operating fluidly across both customer and internal organizations, aligning diverse stakeholders, and distilling complex engagements into crisp, compelling narratives that land succinctly with CEOs and executive committees.

Independent operator with strong program management discipline plans and drives multi-threaded workstreams end-to-end, manages priorities and dependencies with minimal oversight, and delivers consistently in a small, nimble team environment where ownership and accountability are paramount.
