Description

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind one of the Worlds’s largest cloud infrastructure, responsible for powering all Microsoft online products and services as well as powering Microsoft’s “Cloud First” mission. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for passionate Business Program Manager to help achieve that mission.

Within CO+I, the Integrated Planning and Execution ("IPE") team is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specifics to safety, quality, schedule and cost goals.

To help us accelerate achieving our objectives, growth, and transformation, we are looking for a Business Program Manager to evolve and transform our Business Operations processes, supporting network and fiber spend processes for our data centers.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

We are looking for someone with project management and business analytical skills who is passionate about process efficiencies, will drive actionable insights across complex business, and will identify and resolve critical problems for our stakeholders.

Identifies internal opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones with minimal guidance. Collaborates with others to identify root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), define the program strategy, gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record. Begins to improve operations of existing programs by applying industry methodology, defining program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues. Drives clarity in program issues and strives for simplification.Works with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design programs from initiation to delivery with guidance. Collaborates to produce collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.Demonstrates an understanding of mapping or how systems work and impact one another. Collaborates with others who work with other teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Contracts Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) Sourcing, interface with Datacenter technicians o ensure program processes are rigorous and executed efficiently. Helps develop processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs and communicates them to stakeholders.Embody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.Experience in telecommunications Network concepts.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Ability to conduct training as needed.Demonstrate a Growth Mindset.Ability to review and articulate processes, optimization and recommendations.Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
