We are looking for a Business Program Manager with a passion for education and a track record of delivering results with a cross-functional team to join us in our mission to inspire learning with Minecraft Education.

As a Business Program Manager for Minecraft Education, you will create, plan, and execute customer engagements, including go-to-market programs for content launches, global events, and customer onboarding at scale. You will run targeted pilots and bring learnings back to make our product stronger and our customers happier, and build relationships with a global community of educators to drive awareness and adoption. Cross-Team Engagement and Program Leadership

Lead engagements across various teams to design and implement customer programs and learning experiences for those customers. Collaborate with stakeholders from different organizational units, including Engineering, Customer Growth, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive program execution.

Program Planning and Design

Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify opportunities for new programs and improve existing ones. Develop comprehensive project plans, define program strategies, and gather necessary resources to meet business objectives. Apply industry methodologies to simplify and resolve complex program issues.

Communication

Define and execute communication plans tailored to target K-12 audiences, ensuring clear and effective messaging that drives engagement and adoption. Take programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy-in and demonstrate business impact through data, research and performance metrics.

Execution and Improvement

Execute program plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and utilize performance metrics to evaluate and optimize program effectiveness. Highlight strengths and opportunities for improvement across programs. Engage in monthly business reviews and rhythms to continuously improve program operations based on feedback and data insights.

Training Development and Deployment for Educators and users

Design and develop comprehensive training and learning programs for teachers (and other K-12 educators) to effectively utilize Minecraft Education in their classrooms, after school, clubs or other educational opportunities. Deploy training initiatives, including workshops, webinars, and online resources, to enhance teachers' skills and confidence in integrating Minecraft into their teaching practices. Maintain efficient mechanisms to ensure that education and training in available just in time and in language that supports the majority of learners. Continuously assess and refine training programs based on educator feedback and performance metrics to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the educational community. Support the training and education development eco-system, by informing and developing those companies / individuals in the eco-system for a consistent high quality experience for customers.

Tactical Planning for Global Engagement Events

Plan and execute large-scale global customer inform and engagement events, ensuring they align with business objectives. Work closely with the marketing team to provide direction and support for these events, including coordination with the Global Marketing Team (GMT) to ensure effective promotion and outreach. Develop and implement strategies for customer engagement and feedback collection during events to drive continuous improvement. Utilise and develop GTM tools, that ensure automation for customers in both breadth and depth opportunities.

Data Analytics and Insights

Utilize core game and Microsoft Education data systems to analyze usage patterns, engagement metrics, and learning outcomes. Draw insights and provide recommendations for enhancing Minecraft Education adoption based on data analytics. Implement data-driven strategies to improve user experience and program effectiveness. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs).

Customer Growth Analysis

Analyze customer data to identify those with the potential for large-scale growth. Develop strategies to engage and support these high-potential customers, helping them scale their use of Minecraft Education. Collaborate with customer growth team and marketing teams to create targeted initiatives that foster growth and maximize impact.

Product Understanding and Application

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Minecraft Education product, including its learning experiences, content, and application in learning environments, particularly K-12. Stay updated on the latest features and best practices for integrating Minecraft Education into various educational settings. Leverage product knowledge to create effective learning activities and customer programs that align with educational standards and goals.

K-12 Landscape Analysis

Conduct continual comprehensive analysis of the broader K-12 educational technology landscape. Evaluate the performance of other products in the K-12 space to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning. Use insights from this analysis to inform the development and enhancement of Minecraft Education offerings. Provide strategic recommendations based on market trends and competitive analysis to drive the adoption and impact of Minecraft Education. Other

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvementOR equivalent experience.Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
