How you can make an impact

This role as a Senior Business Planner, Strategic Initiatives is a unique opportunity to join the Cloud and AI Platforms Monetization leadership team, reporting directly to the org Vice President. In this role, you will contribute to creating a high-performing organization with responsibilities that include shaping organizational strategy and culture, leading cross-team business planning initiatives, and working as an extension of the leader to deliver the key objectives. You will work closely with Business Planners and key stakeholder teams to run and optimize the rhythm of business and support the team in creating a durable, repeatable set of processes to help business planners drive the maximum business impact. Specific responsibilities include:

Organizational Health – Monitor team and organization health, support the leader in addressing team culture development, and lead the coordination and execution of key culture initiatives including Diversity and Inclusion, connection and morale, and onboarding.Team Processes – Work across the org to ensure that we have the right processes to support our charter to drive durable profit growth and competitive advantage for Microsoft. Execute and optimize the rhythm of business, working with senior leaders across teams to achieve outcomes.Leadership Team Efficacy – Leverage relationships to influence and advise on strategic decisions, content, and expertise. Drive the agenda for the leadership team and extended leadership team and ensure follow-up on key initiatives.Business Strategy and Monetization – Ensure our business strategies and team priorities are well-documented and that the initiatives aligned with those strategies are understood and prioritized across teams. Integrate best practices across the team through onboarding and training, leveraging available expertise and materials including business model templates, whitepapers, and pricing principles. Own and update the team hub ensuring all content is current, accessible, and relevant to the team.Special Projects and Initiatives – Drive cross-team projects to meet changing business needs and manage complex business requirements.Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications



Required/minimum qualifications

5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience.1+ year experience supporting team culture development and leading the coordination and execution of key culture initiatives AND 2+ years experience supporting and optimizing the rhythm of business, working with senior leaders across teams to achieve outcomesAND 3+ years experience driving cross-team projects to meet changing business needs and managing complex business requirements AND 1+ years experience driving the agenda for a leadership team. Additional or preferred qualifications8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related fieldOR equivalent experience.Track record of working across diverse stakeholders to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence.Demonstrated ability and prior experience in creating durable processes that are aligned with business needs and intent.Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to utilize data.Strategic business judgement leveraging strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence.Effective communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects.Dynamic storytelling skills with demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence at senior levels.We look forward to hearing from you!

Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
