Description
OverviewCopilot is redefining personal productivity and consumer value. We need a senior business planner to translate product/usage signals into pricing, packaging, channel, and lifecycle strategies that grow users, ARPU, and LTV across endpoints (web, mobile, Windows) and surfaces for upsell into premium Copilot value. You’ll be at the center of key consumer motions — setting the strategy, running the model, shipping the plan, and landing it with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Commerce.

Responsibilities
Monetization strategy & business model design. Own hypotheses, options, and recommendations for Copilot consumer monetization (freemium limits, trials, add ons, bundles, and cross product offers). Deliver clear trade off narratives and PR/FAQ style one pagers for executive decisions. Pricing & packaging. Define constructs, fences, value ladders, and thresholds that align with willingness to pay and cost to serve; partner with Finance on P&L sensitivities and with Product on value delivery and guardrails. Telemetry, funnels, and growth economics. Lead the measurement plan for adoption → activation → engagement → retention → paid conversion; instrument and review weekly with Marketing, Product, and Finance to course correct. Experimentation & offers. Drive our view of price elasticity and evaluate cannibalization and halo effect of potential offers and new SKU introductions. Work with Product, Finance, Marketing, and other Business Planning orgs to ensure insights drive key decisions. Exec communications & ROB. Drive a crisp RoB for monetization (MPR/QPR/BOD inputs), providing scenario docs, decision memos, and KPI scorecards that tie to plan commitments. CMO Strategy. Help develop and refine strategic frameworks to evaluate and compare possible competitive paths for AI as part of the overall consumer strategy.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualifications8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field OR equivalent experience.Proficiency in storytelling with data to drive decisions. Mastery of PowerPoint and Excel are essential skills for this position.
Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
