Description
The Copilot Monetization Strategy & Planning Team defines long-term strategic plans, analyzes user behavior trends, and drives initiatives to increase AI monetization across Windows, Edge, Bing, and Microsoft 365. This is a high-impact role that requires analytical skills, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. This role will collaborate across marketing, product, and data teams to define success, set monetization growth priorities, and track execution. This role will further support the ideation of our unified consumer strategy across all lines of business by helping prepare materials for senior CMO leadership.We are seeking a Business Planner, Copilot and Cross Strategy, to drive Copilot’s monetization strategy, shaping how we will monetize AI powered experiences across Microsoft’s consumer ecosystem, and help crystalize consumer strategy across all lines of business.

Lead monthly/weekly operational planning and business reviews, providing insights and strategic direction. Point person for monetization telemetry and reporting within Marketing. Working with analytics vendor to create and curate regular recurring reports and ad-hoc data asks. Work with finance to marry telemetry and financial reporting to facilitate analysis. Drive industry insights on business models, free vs paid features, free usage limits, etc. Manage Executive communications updates process coordinating across all consumer lines of business Drive end-to-end analysis of Copilot subscriber behavior, identifying trends, friction points, and opportunities for monetization. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance adoption, engagement, and retention. Define and track key success metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals and cross-functional partners. Support senior business planners and partner with marketing, product, and data teams to prioritize and execute high-impact monetization initiatives. Influence senior leadership with data-driven recommendations that drive business impact. Embody our Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience in strategic planning, market analysis, or a related field within the tech industry or related experience.
3+ years experience analyzing complex data sets to drive actionable insights.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related fieldOR 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related fieldOR equivalent experienceSolid writing skills, with a particular focus of strategic options analysis and recommendation justification for senior leadership. Business Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
