Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

As a Principal Business Operations Manager - Cloud Supply Chain of this team, you will report directly to the GM of Process Engineering and Value Delivery and your core responsibilities are to support the business operations scope of the Vice President of CSCP Strategy and Transformation (S&T). In this role you will be responsible for building an effective and efficient supply chain transformation operating model, management of the budget and associated contracts, executive reporting rhythms and communications, and coordination with the S&T Leadership team and the CSCP Executive Business Management Office.

You will drive clarity through executive level communications and also orchestrates the implementation of strategy execution plans, while ensuring alignment across functions to maximize and extend the S&T Leader. The S&T Business Operations Manager will have the highest levels of integrity, a supply chain background, and a deep understanding of how Microsoft works, ideally experience working with partner Cloud organizations such as including CO+I, Azure Core, SCHIE, and Finance.

As a Principal Business Operations Manager - Cloud Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the following:

You will lead the development and implementation of large, cross-functional projects. Ensure timely delivery of technology solutions by managing project schedules, resources, contracts and risks.  You will provide high-level support to executive leaders, including managing the rhythm of business, preparing reports, and coordinating people manager meetings and quarterly business reviews and act as a proxy for the leader and trusted advisor and liaison between executives and other stakeholders.   You will drive strategic initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement, developing action plans, and tracking progress as well as collaborate with various departments to align business goals and objectives. You will also use your understanding of strategy to design upcoming budgets.  You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and support for key initiatives and create alignment within partnerships by providing an objective point of view, ensuring all voices are heard, synthesizing ideas and creating an action plan.   You will utilize data-driven insights to assess performance and organizational health, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations. Monitor key metrics and report on progress to executive leaders and continuously improve team processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices. You will monitor organizational health, respond to team culture issues, and promote cultural initiatives as this will involve planning and executing trainings, tracking polls and ensuring a healthy compliance scorecard as well as developing efficient and secure processes to manage sensitive employee data to enhance the effectiveness of the leadership team you support. You will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring as well as foster a culture of innovation and agility within the team.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or ProgrammingOR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or ProgrammingOR equivalent experience 4+ years people management experience 4+ years of professional experience in Program Management, Supply Chain Operations, Project Management, or similar experience. 2 + years of experience implementing proactive systems to simplify activities and deliverables such as action tracking, and team event planningOther Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming OR Masters Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming Certification in Application Development Platforms (Power Platform, DevOps, Dynamics 365) 5+ years working in a professional corporate environment with executive level presentation skills Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management or a related field. Experience in a Chief of Staff role or supporting executive leaders is highly desirable Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Budget: Proficiency in planning annual budget and managing >$50M budget and vendor contracts Technical Solution Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
