Responsibilities
As a Business Operations Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting the ISD CVP, Chief of Staff, and Executive Office by aligning and executing strategic planning processes alongside the leadership team, ensuring that all plans are in harmony with the business objectives and adapted to the unique demands of the organization. You will ensure internal continuation of business operations during all times, including periods of change or special circumstances, and work closely with Microsoft teams and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive execution plans.
You will own intake and triage of requests for the ISD CVP: 1) assessing priority, scope, and required inputs; 2) routing to the appropriate teams within the ISD Executive Office; and 3) support end-to-end task tracking, follow-ups, and closure across the ISD CVP and Chief of Staff priorities.
You will lead the Business Operations activities within the ISD Executive Office team, developing and executing the rhythm of business (ROB), managing team participation for key business events, fiscal year planning, running business reviews, and other strategic business planning activities, while maintaining adherence to privacy and compliance.
You will help drive accountability for the team and organization in executing core business activities, such as:
Aligning priorities with key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
Creating clarity in ambiguous situations to facilitate and drive prioritization and decision making for leaders across the organization
Elevating status of key projects, initiatives, and open actions for leadership visibility and action
You will leverage knowledge of the leader's goals and approach to ensure team activities are aligned with the leader's objectives:
Support the ISD CVP and Chief of Staff in communicating key goals, priorities, and definitions
Maximize a culture to support and represent the leader and team
Inform tactical and strategic business decisions for the ISD CVP and Chief of Staff
Support the landing of organizational changes
You will engage in well-defined projects/programs, including work on strategic efforts that require hands-on experience which may be across multiple disciplines.
You will monitor team health and support the leader in responding to team culture issues, as well as promoting culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related rolesOR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.
Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
