Description

Enterprise Partner Sales, part of Microsoft’s Worldwide Sales & Solutions (WSS) organization, is accountable for building and co-selling innovative Microsoft Cloud & AI solutions and services, with our global Enterprise partners. Our Enterprise partner portfolio includes global systems integrators, advisories, high-value management consultancies (SI), independent software vendors (ISV) and software development companies - working together to empower people and organizations to achieve more.

As the WSS CTO Senior Business Manager, you’ll play a strategic role working closely with the WWS CTO CVP to drive clarity, momentum, and impact across the organization. You’ll collaborate with the leadership team and WSS Chief of Staff community to orchestrate org-wide initiatives, streamline decision-making, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture. From aligning cross-functional efforts to managing business rhythms, you’ll be the connective force that keeps priorities moving forward and the team thriving.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize shared goals. Each day, we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive.

As the Business Manager for the WSS CTO CVP, you will partner closely with the CVP, their Leadership Team (LT), and leaders across WSS to drive strategic planning, operational excellence, leader impact, and organizational health.

Responsibilities:

Define and set annual strategy and priorities in alignment with WWS-wide goals, partnering with the CVP and LT to shape strategic, technical, and growth plans. Deliver end-to-end business insights that inform decision-making and ensure initiatives are milestone-driven and executed with excellence.

Establish and maintain a predictable operating rhythm that integrates internal milestones—such as LT meetings, People ROB, Townhalls, and AMAs—with external partner engagements and the broader WSS Rhythm of the Business. In collaboration with the WSS CTO executive admin, you’ll define and land the annual ROB at the start of the fiscal year, ensuring alignment across WSS.

Lead Opex budget planning and forecasting in alignment with Finance and WSS guidance, ensuring targets are met and cascaded effectively across teams. Monitor monthly spend, drive accountability to financial goals, and partner with team managers to execute quarterly financial reviews and maintain disciplined budget management.

Own annual Opex budget and headcount (HC) management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and accurate forecasting across planning cycles.

Drive team compliance accountability, ensuring adherence to key policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Executive Communication: In partnership with the communications lead, you will plan the CVP’s presence at key events such as Ignite, MCAPS START, WSS Townhalls, and partner events, to align on a clear, effective communication strategy.

Extend the leader’s impact by partnering with the leader, the exec admin, the LT, and the broader WSS business and strategy team. You will align priorities, see around corners, ask insightful questions, coach, collaborate, and drive results, maximizing the impact of the team and leveraging the capabilities of the LT to scale. You’ll synthesize insights to influence leadership decisions, manage executive content, and ensure confidentiality of Microsoft business data. You’ll build relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders, organize executive visits, and drive follow-up on leadership team agendas.

Support a healthy organizational rhythm by promoting culture initiatives aligned to the People Strategy. Partnering with HR and the CVP, you’ll define action plans in response to employee signals, track compliance and training completion, and execute programs as needed.

Lead strategic initiatives that address evolving business needs through coordinated execution across multiple functions.

Embody our culture and values.
