Description
The Senior Business Manager (SBM) for the OneDrive and SharePoint (ODSP) Experiences Product Management (PM) team is a critical role that supports two Vice Presidents (VPs) and works closely with the leadership team to drive business management, operations, budget & headcount management, a thriving team culture, internal communications, and organizational health. This position is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the PM leadership team (LT) operating rhythm and provides insight and advice to the LT around operational excellence, budget and headcount management, resource and fiscal planning, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiatives, and participates in overall group strategy decisions. This role is also part of the Collaborative Apps & Platforms (CAP) Chief of Staff and Business Operations community which works together to drive efficiency and leverage the work of the group.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Leadership Effectiveness and Communication
The SBM drives organization rhythm of business (ROB) processes and agendas. Participate as a valued LT member and offer business perspectives relevant to key strategic decisions. Maximize the effectiveness of the VPs by helping balance priorities, communicate effectively, participate in the most relevant meetings and connect with the team. Work with the leaders to engage with customers, partners, and the community to drive thought leadership for the product and the team.
Business Management and Operations
In partnership with Finance and Business Management, proactively manage budget and headcount planning and strategy. ODSP Experience PM has a global footprint which requires active analysis, management and planning. Partner with finance and procurement to ensure effective budget management, headcount management and forecasting. Partner with staffing team to meet hiring requirements and elevate staffing conversations with the LT. Work with the CAP Business Operations community to improve processes, procedures, and initiatives to run the business efficiently as the organization scales.
Team Development and Culture
In partnership with Human Resources (HR) and the LT, shape and drive the people agenda and lead team health initiatives, particularly focused on developing increased diversity, inclusion, and belonging. This is a shared accountability across all members of the LT.Other

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Experience with headcount and budget management.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in Senior Business Management role or similar preferred. Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels. Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement. Enjoys working in fast-paced; sometimes ambiguous environment. Sound judgment, discretion, and unflappable under pressure.Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
