The Business & Industry Copilots (BIC) group is a rapidly growing organization that is responsible for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite of products, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, AI Builder, Microsoft Industry Solution and more. Microsoft is considered one of the leaders in Software as a Service in the world of business applications and this organization is at the heart of how business applications are designed and delivered.

We are looking for a Senior Business Manager to join our team to support our Customer Zero Engineering (CZE) Business Management Office.

This role is essential for driving financial accountability, strategic financial planning, and operational efficiency across CZE, which spearheads Microsoft's internal customer-first innovation.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:

Manage financial operations to ensure budget compliance across projects and initiatives, including vendors, labs, Azure resources, and discretionary expenses. Deliver monthly budget updates, manage close processes, and validate the accuracy of financial reports using Power BI and SharePoint. Financial Close Processes:

Handle month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end close activities, ensuring accurate accruals, reclassifications, and PO line item closures in compliance with corporate guidelines. Budget Planning and Transfers:

Lead fiscal year budget planning by creating budget request templates, consolidating requests, and aligning financial objectives across the organization. Manage budget transfers with finance teams, ensuring proper approvals and documentation for resource reallocation. Financial Guidance and Support:

Serve as the primary contact for ad hoc financial queries, providing guidance on budget allocation, fund usage, and internal coding for expenses.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in financial reporting

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
