As part of Windows & Device Sales (WDS) organization, WW GTM team plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell breakthrough AI-powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and Silicon providers. We work closely with partners and internal business groups to build innovative devices that harness the power of the Microsoft cloud, introduce innovative new AI experiences, and transform how we sell devices and services.
Opportunities in WDS are expansive. We span the entire product lifecycle from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the device design, and selling them through the Retail, Distribution and Reseller channel, sell-through to their consumer and commercial customers. As a member of our team, you will be part of a growing multi-billion-dollar business, charting new areas of innovation, and contributing to some of the largest global partnerships at Microsoft. You will play a pivotal role in driving the GTM plans and growth of Windows devices and AI services in partnership with the strength of our device partners ecosystem. The Business Manager / Chief of Staff, Windows & Device Sales (WDS) role is a high-impact position within Microsoft’s WDS organization. This unique role is a blend of strategic thinking and planning, program & operational management, executive communications, Team Culture & Health programs, and compliance management. This role is the “right hand” person of the WW GTM VP and a trusted stakeholder to executives and employees across the company, specifically in HR, Finance, WDS, etc.

Responsibilities
Support VP in their top goals and priorities
Set priorities - For the year and focus areas for each period. Ensuring broad alignment within the organization and through partners and related teams. Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking while driving the process to refine the strategy, KPIs, budgets and execution plans for the team, as well as how we will measure success against it and report on progress.Drive team structural adjustments & culture – Operationalize Org Changes and Leadership Team Design, Lead Culture focus and Lead efforts to create the best place to work for our team.Lead cross company rhythm of business - working across teams to ensure alignment on strategic and broad initiatives across the company.Provide honest and thoughtful guidance and advice to the VP - on products, campaigns, communications, people, and team pulse.Own and incubate any special projects critical to the business; operationalize and integrate these special projects into the main work stream at the right point.Partner closely with VP’s Executive Admin to align calendars and travel.Executive Communications: Managing the rhythm of business (ROB) for WW GTM team as well as our integration into key cross company events and moments, like product launches, executive partner meetings, press events, and internal readiness events.Develop content for internal and external communications for the VP and ensure great preparation - plan, practice, execute.Team & People:Own & drive Leadership team staff meetings and agendas.Own and design All Hands Meetings, Team offsites and training.Lead Cultural and Diversity & Inclusive efforts for and with the team.Manage and constantly improve process with HR and Leadership Team to Recruit, Hire & Retain A+ Talent. Organize roles & responsibilities to maximize clarity and empowerment while mapping to top priorities, and drive the People Discussion and Career development programs.Be the point of contact for the office of key executive stakeholders across the company.Be a trusted ally for the team: within leads and within broader team – support, unblock, challenge, inspire. Be a trusted channel of information both up and down the chain. Lead by example in the org and contribute wherever possible. Be selfless, collaborative, passionate, ensure A+ quality. Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.

Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 15+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.Understanding of how to get things done at Microsoft through influence by leveraging your extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. In addition, you must have experience in strategic planning, execution, communications building relationships and working with executives at all levels.Ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive closure on issues.Solid project management skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through uncertain situations to drive for clarity, often.Ability to impact and influence at all levels of Microsoft, bringing others along and driving for collective impact.Business acumen and mental agility to ramp quickly across our diverse business and offerings.High personal accountability for self and others.Personal maturity and models Microsoft values.
Business Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
