Description

As Business Manager for the Sales Skilling team, you will drive strategy initiatives and help facilitate a rhythm of business (ROB), creating clarity in ambiguous situations, facilitating decision-making, and following up on action items. As appropriate, you will:

Partner with Sales Skilling leadership to execute business plans and ensure seamless continuity of operationsLead strategy execution across internal stakeholders and teams in close collaboration with Sales Skilling leadershipApply deep understanding of organizational strategy and future deliverables to drive successful execution across multiple workstreams, in partnership with internal and external stakeholdersMaintain healthy organizational signals and champion culture initiatives that align with Microsoft’s People strategy, connecting leaders and teams to Microsoft’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) resources and guidanceLead cross-functional initiatives to address evolving business needs and manage complex operational challengesCoordinate annual and budget forecasting, track ongoing requests, and facilitate change orders.Monitor evolving budget management guidelines and provide regular updates to supported program and Purchase Orders (PO) owners.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Business Operations: Architecting and executing the rhythm of business, driving strategy initiatives, collaborating with partners, and driving business review cadence. Ensuring adherence to privacy and compliance, and strategizing business continuity plans.Budgeting and Forecasting: Designing budgets, developing forecasting plans, overseeing the development of metrics for budgeting and forecasting, and working with Procurement team for future resources.Organizational Health: Supporting team culture and health through organizing culture teams, running team-wide training programs, and ensuring a healthy compliance scorecard for the organization.Program Management: Driving cross-team projects, programs, and initiatives. Working across the organization to drive content creation (e.g., presentations, whitepapers, etc) to support business reviews and programs.OtherEmbody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.

4+ years experience in business management, program management, process management, or process improvement.4+ years of experience managing cross-functional business rhythms, including leadership team meetings, organizational communications, and strategic planning cycles.4+ years of experience owning internal or external stakeholder relationships, including budget oversight, vendor coordination, and executive-level deliverables.Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of experience leading complex organizational programs, including culture initiatives, readiness planning, and executive communications across global teams.6+ years of experience managing budget planning and vendor operations, including forecasting, procurement compliance, and vendor resource alignment.6+ years of experience supporting leadership teams, with a focus on driving clarity, alignment, and impact through structured communications and business planning.Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
