Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking a top-performing Business Analytics Specialist with digital advertising experience who can empower third-party partners to grow and scale on our network through data-driven insights and strategies. This will be achieved by developing and cultivating strategic relationships and delivering valuable, customized recommendations that align with our publishers’ goals, while ensuring alignment with our advertisers and maintaining marketplace health.

In this senior level role, the Business Analytics Specialist will play a critical role in advancing Microsoft Advertising’s monetization strategy across both Monetize and O&O supply surfaces. This role provides the analytical foundation that enables revenue growth, spend optimization, and marketplace quality across a critical business. The analyst owns end-to-end insight generation—from performance diagnostics to financial forecasting, tooling evolution, and supply–demand analytics—ensuring that we can proactively identify trends, mitigate risks, and unlock monetization opportunities at scale.

By driving clarity across complex programmatic ecosystems (DSP, SSP, O&O), the role strengthens Microsoft’s ability to maximize advertiser ROI, maintain healthy marketplace dynamics, and support strategic product and sales initiatives with high quality data and actionable insights.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Lead weekly business reviews; surface trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities; update reporting for clarity and actionability across multiple stakeholders.Forecasting & Modeling

Build and maintain projections for DSPs/PSPs; align assumptions across Sales, Supply, Product, Finance, and Rev Management; integrate marketplace and partner insights into build a robust budget and forecasting process with finance stakeholdersAnalytics Tooling & Dashboards

Maintain and enhance dashboards; ensure data accuracy; debug issues; develop new dashboards for error monitoring, discrepancy detection, and inventory quality tracking. Experiment with AI tooling to optimize analytical processesPerformance Troubleshooting

Investigate anomalies, quality issues, bidder errors, and supply/demand imbalances; partner with Product, Marketplace Quality, and Sales to diagnose root causes and drive corrective actions.Strategic Insights

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysisOR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysisOR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
