Description

The Senior Analyst Relations Manager is a pivotal member of the Microsoft Security team, responsible for developing and executing Microsoft’s analyst relations strategy specific to Security. We are searching for a Senior Analyst Relations Manager that will engage directly with influential industry analysts, manage key relationships, and drive awareness of Microsoft’s security vision, strategy, products, and services. This role requires an effective communicator who is familiar with cybersecurity trends, understands analyst influence, and thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

As a Senior Analyst Relations Manager on the Microsoft Security team, you will play a critical role in shaping how the industry perceives Microsoft’s cybersecurity vision and capabilities. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside product leaders and technical innovators, engage with some of the most influential voices shaping the security market, and make a direct impact on the success of Microsoft Security worldwide. Strategic Planning: Design, implement, and refine a comprehensive analyst relations program to support Microsoft Security’s business goals and product portfolio.

Relationship Management: Build, strengthen, and sustain influential relationships with key industry analysts and research firms covering cybersecurity and adjacent markets.

Message Development: Collaborate with product, engineering, and communications teams to craft clear, compelling messaging that articulates the value and differentiation of Microsoft Security offerings to the analyst community.

Market Intelligence: Gather, synthesize, and communicate analyst insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to internal stakeholders for strategic planning and product development.

Analyst Engagement: Coordinate and execute analyst briefings, inquiries, and advisories, ensuring that the goals are clear, Microsoft Security executives and experts are prepared, and messaging is consistent.

Influence Research & Reports: Proactively engage with analysts to shape research agendas, influence report criteria, and maximize Microsoft’s presence in key evaluative research (e.g., Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, IDC MarketScape).

Sales Enablement: Translate analyst insights and endorsements into actionable sales tools and narratives that accelerate deal cycles and improve win rates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Public Relations (PR), marketing, product, engineering, and executive teams to align analyst relations activities with broader go-to-market initiatives.

Executive Support: Provide counsel, briefing materials, and talking points for senior leaders in advance of analyst engagements.

Event Management: Support and execute analyst events, roundtables, and summits to showcase Microsoft Security leadership and innovation.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field AND 3+ years of Communications, Public Relations, Investor Relations, Analyst Relations, Product Management/Planning, Research, Program Management or related experience OR equivalent experience.3+ years of experience in analyst relations or corporate communications within the technology sector. Additional or preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field AND 5+ years of Communications, Public Relations, Investor Relations, Analyst Relations, Product Management/Planning, Research, Program Management or related experience OR equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in analyst relations or corporate communications within the technology sector with 2+ of those years of analyst relations experience specifically focused on cybersecurity or related disciplines.Demonstrated success managing relationships with top-tier industry analysts and key security analysts.Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.Significant understanding of cybersecurity products, services, and industry landscape.Track record of influencing analyst research and driving positive placement in key reports.Experience supporting executive communications and high-visibility engagements.Analyst Relations IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
