The Quality Assurance Risk Director plays a critical leadership role within Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD), responsible for establishing and upholding rigorous quality standards across complex consulting projects. This position oversees risk identification and recommends mitigation risk strategies throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring project outcomes consistently align with both Microsoft and client expectations. The role requires strategic decision-making, operational delivery expertise, and effective collaboration with sales, delivery, and account leaders across the Americas, as well as engagement with customer executive teams

Responsibilities
Oversee complex program deliveries, ensuring high-quality outcomes and minimal risk from initiation to completion. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks, and document corrective actions and lessons learned.Serve as an independent liaison between clients and delivery teams, managing expectations and resolving issues as needed. Evaluate project staffing, address skill or cost mismatches, and recommend mitigation strategies throughout the delivery lifecycle.Monitor and report on portfolio performance, providing business insights and early risk warnings to support data-driven decisions.Drive process improvements to optimize quality risk management and delivery efficiency.Other

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 7+ years experience in complex program management, consulting delivery OR equivalent experience.Additional or preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in related field AND 15+ years experience in complex program management, consulting deliveryOR equivalent experience.Project Management Professional (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.8+ years financial management experience.Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification.Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to risk identification, mitigation and alignment with customer and organizational goals.Expertise in consulting delivery quality assurance, risk identification, and problem-solving.Demonstrated success in managing complex ($15M+) transformational deliveries, including D365, Azure, or AI solution scenarios.Track record of bold innovation, including taking strategic risks that inspire and motivate teams to pursue new approaches.
Consulting Project Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $138,200 - $268,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $175,900 - $288,000 per year.
