The SPARC organization within Azure drives advanced architecture and manages hardware roadmap planning and program management from concept through production for all of Microsoft’s current and future on-line services. Well-defined and executed strategic planning ensures products meet the requirements for performance, features, and time-to-market. The ability to draw insights from a deep understanding of the cloud HW Infrastructure landscape and industry trends is critical in informing the roadmap and planning decisions. 
We are seeking a Principal AI Product Manager leader to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, planning, and roadmap for the AI silicon that powers Microsoft Cloud and Copilots. In this role, you will lead and drive critical silicon and hardware programs end to end, partnering across engineering, architecture, and business teams to deliver high-impact outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities
Collaborate and drive efforts across multiple engineering groups within Microsoft; success will be through developing and putting in place processes and methods that bring about efficient collaboration and decision making within Microsoft and Azure.  In addition, as a Product Manager you’ll need to have both excellent management & people skills paired with technical depth & passion.  Evangelize Microsoft Azure AI hardware platforms and end-to-end AI solutions with internal teams and external customers, driving awareness, technical confidence, and adoption across priority customer segments. Work directly with customers to understand AI workloads, use cases, performance requirements, and deployment constraints, and translate these insights into actionable internal inputs. Partner with engineering, architecture, platform, and business teams to influence product direction, roadmap prioritization, and investment decisions based on customer requirements and market signal. Develop and execute evaluation and adoption strategies that enable customers to assess Azure AI hardware and solutions, supporting proof-of-concepts, pilots, and scaled deployments. Define and lead an ecosystem strategy, engaging with partners to codefine solutions, reference architectures, and joint go to market. Collaborate with marketing, field, and partner teams to shape messaging, solution positioning, and joint marketing plans that accelerate customer adoption. Drive complex, cross functional initiatives end-to-end, providing clear structure, timelines, and accountability while navigating ambiguity and changing priorities. Influence by building alignment across teams, motivating stakeholders, and driving decisions through data, clarity, and executive communication. Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to form strategy, identify opportunities, and support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of technical product management experience, including products within datacenter HW systems and/or Cloud infrastructure.  Demonstrated experience working directly with customers on technical solutions, including understanding workloads, requirements, and success criteria. Experience defining and executing partner or ecosystem strategies, including codevelopment and joint gotomarket efforts Analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and business information into clear insights and recommendations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior technical and business stakeholders Experience in program management fundamentals including presentation skills and written communication; ability to build relationships and influence in a matrix organization; manage cross team deliverables including program costs, schedules, risks and issues mitigation. Understanding and passion for program management, establishing process and framework for large scale collaboration   Experience leading teams across SW ecosystem setup within technical contexts  Proven capabilities to multi-task and drive positive business results. 
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
