Description

Corporate Accounting Revenue Assurance team is looking for a highly skilled, motivated accounting professional and a dynamic leader with a drive for synthesizing complex, cross-functional collaboration and people development.

The Corporate Accounting Reporting and Analysis team focuses on defining revenue recognition policy across products and programs, enhancing and consulting on system integration and design, researching GAAP revenue recognition questions and analyzing and reporting consolidated financial results.

The Accountant position requires a collaborative and motivated individual who enjoys working closely with business partners to deeply understand the business strategy and related processes.This position provides high visibility to executive management across our business groups as well as a work with a great team of professionals experienced in technical accounting.

This individual will focus on reviewing and documenting the accounting position for new product launches, as well coordinating with the revenue systems team on system implementations that support new product launches.

Work with technical GAAP experts within the team and finance/business leads across the company to understand the economic and accounting implications of strategic deals and partnershipsCoordinate with systems counterparts to identify and document new system or process steps required to support product launchesEffectively identify accounting issues, apply the relevant accounting knowledge base and make decisions with conviction; make the complex simple Prepare and present training to business partnersProvide expertise to special projects and other ad hoc requests

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experienceOR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experienceOR equivalent experience.US GAAP knowledge and experience, with emphasis on ASC 606

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 5+ years accounting or finance experienceOR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experienceOR equivalent experience.Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.Significant experience in software, technology industry a plusCPA or equivalent preferredAbility to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organization, and creating effecting partnerships; ability to effectively scopes accounting issues, apply the relevant accounting knowledge base and make decisions with conviction; make the complex simpleBusiness partnering and cross-group collaboration skills, with senior-leveled audiencesProven financial and analytical, written and oral communications and presentation of data skillsSelf-starter, well organized, adaptable, and able to multi-task and work well under pressureAccounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
