We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Accessibility Program Manager to join our team. This role blends deep technical knowledge with compliance expertise to help ensure our digital experiences are inclusive and meet global accessibility standards.The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Division unifies the commercial go-to market organization to accelerate our progress, stay true to the Microsoft mission, and empower our customers, partners, people, and Microsoft’s growth. Within MCAPS, TrIP (Trust and Integrity Protection) defines processes for customers’ data protection including privacy, security, governance, risk, and compliance solutions, and provides guidance and oversight across the MCAPS division. In TrIP, the PACE (Privacy, Accessibility & Customer Enablement) Team is responsible for Privacy, data protection, and accessibility for the division. The successful candidate will:
Engage with engineering and design teams early in the software development lifecycle to ensure that accessibility requirements are designed and built into the application (Accessibility by Design)Provide detailed guidance on accessibility testing and assessment across web and software applicationsConsult on clear, actionable accessibility defect remediations to engineering and design teamsInterpret, apply and communicate accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Microsoft Accessibility Standards (MAS), and Section 508Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accessibility fixes are implemented correctly and effectivelyProficiency in program and project management, the ability to influence without authority, comfortability working in ambiguous and rapidly changing ecosystems, and clearly communicating the impact and scope of your work to partners and leadership are critical to success in this role.

Function as the risk domain lead for Accessibility in the MCAPS organization.Liaise with vendor teams to ensure smooth operation of the testing pipeline.Establish and maintain relationships with, and act as a trusted advisor to, key stakeholders from various MCAPS organizations and Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA).Provide detailed reporting on accessibility compliance within the MCAPS Division to clearly communicate the impact and scope of accessibility work to partners and leadership including a data-driven approach.Provide MCAPS stakeholder guidance on complying with Microsoft Accessibility Standards (MAS) [based on WCAG, Section 508 and European standard EN 301 549] as early in design process as possible leading to “Accessible by Design” experiences. Consulting with CELA on complex scenarios as needed.Influence engineering and business partners to adopt best practices and drive accessibility improvements.Create and maintain a library of guidance documentation and links about accessibility testing and assessment to enable stakeholder self-service for frequent requests.Oversee compliance testing including prioritization, compliance status and remediation monitoring key metrics to ensure progress and impact.Provide monthly expenditure forecasts based on the anticipated pipeline volumes.Seek opportunities for automation and process efficiencies in accessibility workflows.
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firm OR equivalent experience.4+ years experience in accessibilityOR bachelor's degree AND 3+ years’ experience in accessibility.Proficiency in Web Content Accessibility.Familiarity with guidelines (“WCAG”), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the European standard EN 301 549 compliance.Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree AND 5+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firm OR Master's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firm OR Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firm OR equivalent experience.Relevant Certification (e.g., International Organization for Standardization [ISO] Lead Auditor, International Association of Privacy Professionals [IAPP], Certified Public Accountant [CPA], Certified Information Privacy Professional [CIPP]).Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools such as Accessibility Insights, Axe, NVDA, and JAWS Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, ARIA, and frameworks like ReactFamiliarity with Microsoft application frameworks such as SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI, and Dynamics.Ability to assess and articulate the impact of accessibility issues on end users Excellent communication and collaboration skills 2+ years’ work experience in program/or software project management Experience working in agile development environments Knowledge of inclusive design principles Accessibility certification (e.g., CPACC, WAS) is a plus Compliance IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
