Description

Identify client’s biggest challenges that may be ambiguous and lacking clear precedent to define customer and YouTube product strategy, enabling longer-term opportunities.

Develop customer relationships and serve as a trusted consultant and point of contact.

Pitch and close high growth annual video deals to deliver against customers’ business objectives, unlocking commercial and strategic value.

Develop product related initiatives defined in overall sales business plans, establish goals, coordinate resources, and provide leadership in line with long-term objectives with occasional oversight from senior leaders.

Lead product activation activities (e.g., interact with the product community, educate sellers on new products and betas, and build competitive intelligence in the market) at scale, internally and externally.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As a Principal Video Lead on our Retail Specialist team, you will lead video strategy and activation to deliver growth across retail verticals. You will drive accountability to the business by persistently exploring and uncovering business opportunities, developing industry go-to-market plays and partnering with teams to grow our YouTube business across Awareness, Performance and Shopping solutions. You will anticipate how decisions are made, where our video products fit in, and collaborate with our sales teams to drive growth.

Your knowledge of traditional and online media, combined with your team player mentality and sales drive, will shape how our existing video business grows. You will provide excellent client service, shaping the Retail video strategy focused on our customer’s business objectives.Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000-$203,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.

Experience working with digital organizations.

Preferred qualifications: Experience working with television or social planners/buyers, brand developers, and agencies. Autonomous project management experience, leading complex strategic and operational initiatives. Experience with video solutions, including knowledge of the competitive landscape. Ability to maintain operational cadence around Retail’s YouTube/Video business growth pacing and pipeline.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.

Experience working with digital organizations.
