Description
Set and drive security engineering strategy with Google Cloud leadership, build relationships and partner with both internal and external stakeholders, and provide technical guidance to the Security engineering team. Support growth in all of our business, products, and geographies - including supporting AI-driven innovation and growth. Support our customers and their secure digital transformations to Cloud and AI adoption. Work with teams across Google that provide critical services that are relied on to achieve security outcomes for Google Cloud as well as lead teams dedicated to Google Cloud Security Engineering.Google Cloud is the most trusted cloud. The mission of our Cloud Security Engineering organization, led by Vice President of Cloud Security Engineering is to: secure the Cloud, secure the customer, and secure the planet.
In this role, you will lead a security engineering organization responsible across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Workspace and our Technical Infrastructure. The organization is responsible for: product security engineering, incident response, vulnerability management, security engineering standards, fraud and abuse.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in security engineering, with 8 years in a senior leadership role. Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams. Experience as a senior leader or equivalent at a technology or cloud company. Domain experience in two of the following areas: product security, incident response, vulnerability management, security engineering, or fraud and abuse.Preferred qualifications: Proven ability to lead and influence in a large, cross-functional environment. Ability to build relationships and lead through influence, both with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time and within budget. Ability to inspire and motivate the team to work together toward a technical vision. Passion for technology and technical depth to uncover root causes of complex technical problems and provide guidance on solving them.
Extended Qualifications
