Description
Deliver high-quality front-end and design contributions by building UI systems and complex interactions that support the development of next-generation AI-first software in Chrome. Implement and evaluate new front-end technologies and computational design methods within the disco vehicle, building testable, high-fidelity prototypes that allow for rapid, data-driven experimentation and iteration. Partner with Research, Design, and Product, as well as core partners like Google DeepMind, Google Labs, and Creative Lab, to implement scoped concepts and iteratively improve solutions based on user insights toward graduation into core Chrome. Contribute to the evolution of foundational code and tooling to accelerate AI-assisted engineering workflows, and provide front-end coding support and guidance to team members, ensuring consistently high-quality work.At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Joining a multi-disciplinary UX team, you will collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping. Experience in application development in any of the platforms/areas (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR). Experience with TypeScript and product design.Preferred qualifications: 5 years developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications. 5 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment. Experience with full-stack development and UX prototyping. Experience building on browser-based tools like Chrome Extensions, React, or Electron. Ability to articulate technical and design decisions to cross-functional partners. Excellent visual craft and systems thinking skills.
