Description

Drive Google Meet’s intelligence strategy through cross-functional alignment and high-quality design deliverables. Collaborate with UX Research to identify user pain points and uncover new opportunity areas for intelligent features. Develop user journeys, designs, prototypes, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to stakeholders. Partner closely with engineering to implement designs to specification and identify creative solutions to technical challenges. Apply and contribute to shared design systems to ensure consistency across Workspace products.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

The Google Meet Intelligence team uses Gemini to enhance how users connect and collaborate. By focusing on core user needs, we build intelligent features that bridge the gap between people and productivity, such as our recent "Take notes with Gemini" launch.

In this role, you will be a relentless user advocate, working closely with research to design innovative experiences that push the boundaries of virtual and hybrid work. AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. Our mission is to meaningfully connect people so they can create, build, and grow together and as part of the team you can build how productivity tools should work 5-10 years into the future. You will work with model builders (Google DeepMind), work with exceptional leaders, and have the ability to impact billions of users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of experience in product design, interaction design, or a related UX field. Experience creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in high-fidelity prototyping and motion design. Experience with cross-product area influence and collaboration within a large organization. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of influencing product strategy. Excellent visual design skills, with expertise in component and system design.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
