Work with partner teams to triage Data Center Infrastructure products in the Product Life Cycle (PLC) stage gate process. Engage with vendor resources for managing the full production of products at scale, including supply chain, product documentation, code compliance, and change management. Provide technical project management for data center engineering site execution issues, including civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, electrical, telecom, and fire protection. Support post-facility-ready projects to extend the life of the existing data center fleet, focusing on product documentation and strategic scaling initiatives.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Sustaining Engineering Full Production Infrastructure Products occupies a critical intersection between Sustaining Engineering and Product Management.

In this role, you will hold ownership of full production products, managing their entire lifecycle from Full Production through End of Life. You will provide expert technical project management for data center engineering execution, covering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, electrical, telecom, and fire protection.

Beyond routine oversight, you will drive strategic initiatives to deliver new data center capacity at scale. Your work is vital in supporting post-facility-ready projects designed to extend the operational life of the existing data center fleet, with a particular emphasis on maintaining rigorous product documentation and strengthening key vendor relationships.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in technical program management, specifically within data center operations or technical infrastructure. 5 years of experience managing vendor resources and overseeing the full production lifecycle of technical products. 5 years of experience with construction facilities management documentation and technical documentation for engineering projects.

Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with the full data center lifecycle, encompassing design, construction, and operations. Experience developing detailed agreement drawings, specifications, and submittals. Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovative solutions and operational efficiency at scale. Strong technical engineering background with the ability to navigate complex vendor and stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Extended Qualifications
