Description

Lead the team responsible for the review and approval of security system designs and specifications, ensuring rigorous compliance with global Google security standards for all new Technical Infrastructure projects. Improve the maturity and efficiency of security systems design, project execution processes, and technical specifications, exploring opportunities to increase efficiencies in cost and schedule. Lead multiple simultaneous, cross-functional projects and upgrade programs coordinating with partner teams, vendors, and regional operations to deliver security systems that meet the overall mission and ensure business continuity. Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted partner for stakeholders within and across the region, communicating and implementing updates to project processes, guidelines, and policies related to security system program alignment.

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The NASA West and Central Lead for Security Systems Design and Delivery is a critical Technical Program Manager role responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and quality assurance of physical security systems across Google Technical Infrastructure facilities in the US West, US Central, and Canada region. This role requires professional program management experience, a technical understanding of large-scale physical security technology, and the ability to drive regional-scale programs within data center environments. The TPM will lead a team, influence critical business processes, and serve as the trusted security systems partner, directly impacting the protection of Google's people and assets across the region.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
