Description
Bring software development to the Beam hardware organization and lead software release processes, timelines, and deadlines. Drive clarity, understanding, and ownership on interdependent software feature development that requires coordination between hardware and software teams. Own the management of OS and library software development, coordinating with engineering, and other cross-functional leads to ensure a stable code. Manage factory software release and validation, working with external partners, factory leads and system technical program managers. Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in program management.
Experience in embedded software development (e.g., low-level software, firmware). Experience in the development of factory validation software (FVS).
Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience managing the development and integration of high-performance Audio and Video (A/V) processing pipelines for consumer electronics or specialized hardware. Experience managing strategic vendors and partners, including aligning roadmaps, managing technical dependencies, and negotiating delivery milestones. Experience in bridging gaps between engineering disciplines.
