Description

Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high scope, and deliver long-term strategic projects. Work with engineering, product management, site reliability engineering, user experience, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features across various work-streams, and work to identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team issues quickly. Own execution of work-streams including requirements gathering and risk assessment. Design and implement operational processes that help the teams/organization scale. Develop recommendations that translate into a plan, utilize knowledge to deliver impactful business outcomes.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As Technical Program Management partner for Workspace Platform foundations, you will lead product area and high-visibility projects, serving as a strategic partner for Engineering and Product leadership multi-disciplinary engineering projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and support projects through the entire project life-cycle. You will also manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience with technical infrastructure systems and systems management. Experience with productivity or business applications.

Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in data analytics and business intelligence systems to monitor the health of the program. Experience in technical program management with core infrastructure services. Ability to operate with energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent and prepare executive level communication and articulate business or technical concepts to senior leadership. Passion for driving product innovation and excellence, with an ability to challenge engineering timelines and product decisions.
