Description

Serve as an infrastructure and product expert within the Cloud Capacity Management team, supporting the internal team on technical capacity requests from GCP’s existing and new customers. Drive Persistent Disk (PD) capacity planning for GCP, ensuring adequate management of existing resources, and planning for incremental resources for global deployments. Build partnerships with GCP Engineering, Product, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to better understand the technical stack in order to triage capacity requests and unblock GCP customers in a timely manner. Influence product design to ensure capacity requirements are taken into account through the product lifecycle. Define and tune automation, metrics, tools, processes, and policies to meet customer needs, while reducing inefficiency in the fleet and toil for all stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience in program management.

Experience with Storage and Capacity Planning.

Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in technical program management. Experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand and Capacity Planning. Experience managing technical services/products. Experience with Persistent Disk.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience in program management.

Experience with Storage and Capacity Planning.
