Description
Lead the execution of complex, high-impact xSearch projects, often with geographically disparate teams, ensuring timely delivery and measurable improvements to Search's regulatory posture. Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with teams like Legal, Trust and Safety, Data Protection and Risk, PSS, Engineering, and Product Management to drive alignment and land impactful changes for the organization's regulatory needs. Partner with Engineering, Product, and Search Trust leadership to define, shape, and evolve the long-term roadmap and strategy for Search Trust and Regulations. Reinvent and refine processes to increase efficiencies, scale regulatory intake, and help teams in overall execution.Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Google Search Trust and Regulations, you will focus on ensuring Google’s compliance with an increasing volume of global regulations, including but not limited to consent, AI, information security, U18, and privacy, while also supporting the enablement of associated foundational technologies such as logs, data, compliance, and consent infrastructure.
You will serve as a critical thought partner to key members of Google’s trust and regulatory landscape, driving key programs and projects in partnership with stakeholders across engineering, product, legal, and regulatory affairs. Your passion, technical and business depth, and exceptional organizational, communication and people management skills will inspire our teams and rapidly establish trust amongst a broad set of stakeholders and customers.In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.10 years of experience in program management.
Experience building infrastructure related to privacy or regulatory compliance.
Preferred qualifications: 10 years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects. Infrastructure experience, working with Software Engineering, TLs, Product Management and Legal teams.
Extended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.10 years of experience in program management.
Experience building infrastructure related to privacy or regulatory compliance.
