Description

Own and drive large programs across multiple Google teams, lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous projects with engaging priorities simultaneously.

Be the trusted owner of the status of your projects/programs. Drive visibility on progress, dependencies, risks, issues to the executives and other stakeholders. Manage communication of progress/status with customer groups, own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams.

Bring in your technical expertise, program management experience and leadership skills to help the team improve and accelerate their execution.

Build strong partnerships across Google and leverage your credibility and technical acumen to drive process improvements and efficiencies that lead to better quality and increased velocity/productivity.

Engage with the product management and engineering leaders, and other Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to streamline processes, simplify execution, and bring tooling efficiencies, when needed.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is a managed, on-premise hardware and software platform, built on a modern Kubernetes stack. It solves critical challenges like network latency and data sovereignty, delivering a slice of Google Cloud directly to customers. Our TPM team oversees the entire GDC portfolio, from roadmap planning and execution to process optimization for product development, operations, and deployment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in program management.

10 years of experience with the full product development and deployment lifecycle. 10 years of experience in managing and communicating to executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications: 10 years of experience in a software program management role in SaaS/PaaS, cloud computing or enterprise software. Experience in partnering with engineering, product management and support teams to facilitate the design and delivery of features, bringing to market user-focused products. Knowledge of project management. Ability to deliver complex software products, and manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical groups. Excellent technical judgment and leadership skills across organizational and team boundaries.

Extended Qualifications
