Description
Identify gaps and opportunities for scaling and operationalizing energy software solutions. Develop tools and processes that support energy solution commercialization. Manage programs including scoping, resourcing, stakeholder communication, and execution with various Google groups in collaboration with external vendors. Provide expertise and support on specific projects and commercial negotiations.A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
In this role, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. You will be managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and you will keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
As a Technical Program Manager on the Energy and Power product development team, you will help lead our efforts in developing and scaling software solutions for accelerating clean, affordable, and reliable AI growth. You will support the commercialization and scaling of energy solutions including data center demand response and load flexibility, virtual power plants, and flexible interconnection. You will collaborate with internal engineering and commercial teams, as well as with external partners and solutions providers. You will have experience in software program or product management in the energy industry.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program management. Experience in software product management or sales engineering. Experience working in energy markets, with power utilities, or with distributed energy resources.Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience developing commercial partnerships.
