Description
Define and execute go-to-market strategies to increase awareness, adoption and usage of Google Cloud products among developers, including positioning, messaging, education and channel strategy. Create innovative campaigns to drive awareness and product usage. Design and build technical demos, tutorials, and 'Hello World' experiences that help developers overcome adoption blockers. Build exceptional assets for social, blogs, events, that resonate with target audiences. Work cross-functionally to build launch strategies for new products, ensure products are positioned effectively in the market, and help to drive the trials. Build narratives and content for key events, such as Cloud Next and Google I/O, Influence major product decisions based on developer feedback, developer needs, market knowledge and technical expertise.As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager on the Developer Marketing team for Google Cloud, you will be at the forefront of the dramatic shift in how software is developed, published and distributed. In this role, you will drive awareness, adoption and usage of Google Cloud products among developers.
We are looking for a technical marketer or developer advocate who can bridge the gap between product engineering and the developer community. You don't just market products; you build with them, create narratives that resonate with skeptical technical audiences, educate developers on why and how to use Google products, and prioritize technical utility and trust over traditional marketing. You are a creator, comfortable designing, prototyping, and writing content that clearly demonstrates product utility.

US: $171000 - $248000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 9 years of experience working in a creative discipline (e.g., writing, filmmaking, video editing, design, art direction, photography, etc.). 6 years of experience in the developer space. A portfolio of creative work displaying experience in Brand, Interactive, Conceptual, Experiential, or Technology design.Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer science or similar technical field. Experience in Technical Marketing, Developer Relations (DevRel), Technical Advocacy, or Software Engineering, with the ability to create content for technical audience. Experience with AI products, and ability to understand and communicate complex AI features to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to produce engaging product narratives and create engaging technical content for a variety of different formats (demos, video, social media, blogs, events, etc.). Excellent technical and business acumen to interface with teams of all levels, including engineering, product, and marketing.
