Description

Deliver sourcing and supply chain objectives for New Products in the Data Center Infrastructure space.

Develop and execute category strategies to achieve total cost of ownership, lead time, capacity, innovation, and quality objectives for the products managed through close collaboration with Google cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, quality, operations, finance, etc.).

Conduct complex strategic technology negotiations including comprehensive agreements to deliver cost, lead time and capacity objectives for the organization.

Implement supply chain and process improvements through supplier performance metrics, scorecards, business continuity plans, and regular business reviews.

The Equipment Supply Chain (ESC) organization is focused on Technical Data Center Infrastructure and is responsible for planning, sourcing, supply chain, procurement and supplier management functions for data center power and cooling equipment.

ESC partners closely with Data Center Engineering and Construction Teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Technical Category Manager, you will use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our growing, global infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible to define and execute Google’s strategic sourcing for new data center infrastructure equipment and supplier management. You will utilize knowledge of infrastructure technology management, strategy development, sourcing and supplier/integrator relationship, performance and cost management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Experience in category management, agreement negotiation, supplier development, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.

Experience with industrial engineering and construction programs.

Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree in a Technical or Engineering field.

12 years of experience in Technical Sourcing and Supply Chain Management.

Experience with Data Center Infrastructure or Data Center Technology.

Excellent leadership and influencing skills.



Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Experience in category management, agreement negotiation, supplier development, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.

Experience with industrial engineering and construction programs.
