Description
Partner with Product Manager, Trust and Safety, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) and other UXers to understand themes and requirements across regulations and our policy responses to identify the impact positive and negative on users, consumers, advertisers and publishers.Collaborate with Product Manager, UX, Engineer, Legal, Policy and other stakeholders across Google to develop innovative early stage product and policy concepts that address these impacts.
Translate research insights into user, product and policy requirements.
Demonstrate user and ecosystem impacts via user journeys, swimlanes, causal loops, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and story telling.
Set the standard for UX design practice not only as a means to delivering solutions, but as a way of deepening understanding and driving strategic conversations in a complex problem space.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
We're the Ads Privacy and Safety (APaS) UX team, part of the Google-wide priority to improve user trust. We protect billions of users from being exposed to inappropriate ads and help enforce policies for content related to some of the most pressing issues of our time, like misinformation, hate speech, and election ads. We increase user trust by finding user-friendly solutions to today’s regulatory environment and giving users agency over the ads they see.
Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in product design or UX.Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications: 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
4 years of experience leading design projects.
Experience working in user trust areas with regulation. Understanding of the regulatory landscape.
