Description
Manage and grow a team of engineering analysts in Seattle and build strong relationships with the rest of the T&S ADI leads and Engineers/Program Manager (PM) partners to connect the team to efforts in the broader scope. Advocate the strategic leadership extending our incident response and forensic capabilities in particular focusing on deep and large-scale data analysis from different sources and view points. Orchestrate cross-functional alignment and experience influencing senior stakeholders through regular communication. Provide operational leadership for high stakes security incidents affecting many or high-risk users. Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays.You will lead our new, dynamic (T&S) Trust and Safety Account Threats team in Seattle, collaborating with our existing teams in Zurich and Bangalore! We are building a dedicated group focused on rapid incident response to protect billions of users from account compromise, scaled account abuse, and other emerging threats. You and the team will be on the front lines, search in-depth into active security incidents, analyzing data to understand threats, and taking action to keep our users safe.
Our mission is to protect Google accounts and products from threats and abuse. In this role you will lead and grow the team to respond to critical incidents, analyse large amounts of data to programmatically find and close vulnerabilities in our protections and to make our response more efficient.
You will help us find and understand how the most sophisticated threat actors are getting their Google accounts and help us strategically stay ahead of them, by partnering across Trust and Safety, Engineering and Product teams.
While the role’s focus is on managing the team, you will also contribute to the analysis, resolution and communication especially of the most critical cases we see.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.7 years of experience in a data-intensive role such as threat intelligence, data science, trust and safety, or fraud analysis. 2 years of experience in people management, mentoring and technical development of analysts or engineers. Experience working with SQL or Python.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering). Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, threat intelligence or threat detection. Expertise in growing others and advancing capabilities in the areas of data analysis, threat intelligence or incident response. Ability to be comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading towards making data-driven decisions. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in a fluid environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders at different levels and to influence decision-making across roles.
