Description
Advise to optimize machine learning models for speed, memory efficiency, and accuracy through experimentation with different architectures, hyper-parameters, and optimization techniques. Accelerate model training and inference by identifying and implementing software and hardware optimizations, which may include profiling code, optimizing data pipelines. Improve model performance for specific customer use cases by developing and implementing custom kernels (e.g., CUDA, XLA). Showcase a strong understanding of deep learning frameworks such as JAX, including the ability to debug, extend, and optimize them. Translate customer requirements into technical solutions by working closely with them to understand their needs.Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in optimizing machine learning models.Preferred qualifications: Experience writing custom kernels (CUDA, XLA, etc.). Excellent programming skills in Python, C/C++.
