Description
Write and test product or system development code. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Design or influence features in the Operational Support Systems (OSS) Iceberg community which are of interest to BigQuery.
Work with BigQuery teams to help align design, or feature semantics of BigQuery features which overlap with Iceberg.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience in the Data Analytics ecosystem (e.g. Iceberg, Spark, Flink, Pandas, Arrow). 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience in developing accessible technologies. Experience with Rust.
Extended Qualifications
