Description
Establish and maintain high-quality coding standards, architecture and testing. Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and major version upgrades. Drive efforts to reduce technical debt and maintain application security and compliance. Improve supportability, velocity and efficiency by effectively managing operational toil and delivering customer value. Partner with the SDK Platform team to optimize code generation pipeline and releases.Google Cloud's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Cloud SDK team builds client libraries for Google Cloud Platform APIs across nine languages, handling over 80% of all API traffic.
In this role, you will use code generation based on gRPC/Proto definitions to rapidly deliver hundreds of libraries, while also developing handwritten libraries for key services to ensure a premium developer experience. This infrastructure supports both Google Cloud Platform partners and other groups like Ads and Photos.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. Experience with PHP, Ruby, or .NET. Experience with API design and development.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience with Software Development Kits.
Extended Qualifications
