Description

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable test infrastructure that supports continuous integration and continuous delivery (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines. Build and integrate advanced testing tools and frameworks across Pixel devices. Evaluate and implement Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques to enhance test automation to development processes including test case generation, defect prediction, and root cause analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into all phases of the software development process. Take ownership of specific components of the test infrastructure, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and performance.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be dedicated to guaranteeing the highest quality of connectivity experience in every Pixel device. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to test and refine advanced software and hardware, ensuring a reliable and intuitive user experience. You will develop advanced infrastructure and tools for testing on devices utilizing the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. 3 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks). 2 years of experience in software system test engineering, testing mobile and cloud-connected devices. Experience with the Android platform and ecosystem.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience in developing accessible technologies. Experience in developing software for embedded systems (e.g., Bluetooth SoCs, DSPs, Audio SoC). Experience with developing Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence tools and solutions.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. 3 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks). 2 years of experience in software system test engineering, testing mobile and cloud-connected devices.
