Description
Design and build the next generation of the Cloud Billing Monetizer platform to provide an accurate, reliable, and scalable business generation infrastructure for all Google Cloud first and third-party services. Optimize the efficiency and scalability of complex billing calculations, such as tiered pricing, to support the processing of large usage data sets reported by dozens of service teams. Develop and integrate new billing capabilities, including support for more flexible billing account models and advanced discount systems like new types of credits. Partner with internal teams including service providers, data warehouse, and fraud/abuse units to ensure billing data is accurately ingested and provides the necessary insights for customers and stakeholders. Maintain and improve a flexible system architecture that supports different billing features while minimizing operational toil for both Google and its customers.Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience with software development in Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. Experience in developing and maintaining backend software systems.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience managing software product release cycles, including launch readiness. Experience with large-scale data processing. Experience in software system architecture.
Extended Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience with software development in Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. Experience in developing and maintaining backend software systems.
