Description

Contribute to the development of system components, AI/ML algorithms and more to advance BigQuery's capabilities. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in these areas. Drive technical discussions within the team, proposing new ideas, and sharing knowledge to improve the team's overall effectiveness. BigQuery is the leader in the enterprise cloud data warehouse market. It is a high growth product area and plays a key role in contributing to GCP’s overall business and growth.

BigQuery AI/ML is on a mission to democratize AI and ML. It takes away all the complexity and challenge of doing AI and ML and reduces it down to a few lines of SQL statements to train and predict machine learning models. Over the past few years, BQML has grown into a powerful AI and ML platform, growing rapidly in terms of usage and is a key differentiator for BigQuery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with BigQuery, Vertex AI, and other GCP services to help elevate BigQuery to the next level.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. Experience with machine learning. Experience with distributed processing and data warehousing.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Experience with artificial intelligence, building ML platforms and Applied ML. Experience with distributed systems and services. Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
