Description
Embed safety-first principles across the product life-cycle through frameworks, guidelines, and scalable controls. Lead the development of trust-by-design controls across products, channels, commerce, and AI features. Act as a primary safety voice for AI initiatives, collaborating with Legal, Privacy, Security, Policy, and User Experienece (UX). Lead cross-functional workstreams to resolve integrity issues and accelerate safer, high-quality launches. Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks that demonstrate safety impact and product integrity.A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program or project management. Experience working with engineering and product teams. Experience with operations-based programs within an engineering environment.Preferred qualifications: 8 years of experience in Trust and Safety, Integrity, Risk, Security, or related product areas, at consumer platforms. 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with AI/Agentic safety, threat detection methods, and evolving integrity issues. Experience partnering with engineering teams to build safety signals and integrity systems. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of success navigating ambiguity and influencing product direction.
